Say Cheese!

For my little sister's high school graduation party I crafted a sheet to hang as the backdrop for photos. We set up a tripod and put our cannon rebel on top and let the guests have at it. It was such a fun thing! It allowed everyone to add their touch to the party. We had many performers! Just smile and say cheese!

Reminiscing

Not a day goes by where I don't constantly think of and terribly miss my two sisters. All of the thinking and missing has me looking through a boat load of pictures and reminiscing on all the good times we have had together. I have recently been stuck on the photos from my little sister, Liz's, high school graduation party. We threw a little backyard BBQ and of course had the best time planning it! My mom, who carried the vision, created absolutely adorable table arrangements filled with pops of orange and pink all in her assortment of gold vases. I created a little scene for a photo booth by washing a white sheet with some pinks to get the perfect color. I then cut two flowers out of different orange fabrics. We all jumped in and helped decorate the ever-so-tasty cupcakes. The planning, the baking, the decorating, the partying, it was all a blast, but I must say the highlight of the night was singing karaoke with my two fav girls! I miss you Chop and Donna. Come home soon, I need more pictures to look through!

D) None of the Above

Even though this picture is hysterical and cracks me up every time I look at it, after awhile it made me somewhat sad, even a little mad. After trying to figure out which tan line I was, I realized I am none of the above. I don't even have a tan line from this summer, which is actually depressing. I have failed completely this summer as far as tanning. Maybe I should get off the internet and go soak up some of the last rays summer has to offer.

A Limited Edition

These adorable Toms, which are only a limited time offer, were designed by my cousin's best friend, Liz Ronzio. Teen Vogue sponsored a contest, "Style Your Sole," where you could design your own unique pair of Toms and Liz was the winner! This is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations Liz! Be sure to get yours soon because they are gonna go quick!

Looks May Deceive

I have always oooo-ed and awwww-ed whenever I saw a house covered in ivy, however my thoughts have quickly changed. Yesterday afternoon my mom and I spent about three hours pulling that green vine out of our yard. And wow do I have different feelings toward what I once thought was a pretty little leaf. Oh ivy, how your looks deceive.

A Garden Party

I mentioned in my last post that one of my besties, Nora, graduated this May and to celebrate her victory she threw a little bash in her parents backyard, aka, a garden party. My oh my, what a delight! Her parents' gardens of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and countless other surprises, served as pleasant backdrop. From the overflowing peonies to all of Nora's favorite foods, from the big gold "N" balloon to the hand-crafted pom poms and lastly to the beautifully created invitations (via Cheree Berry Paper), Nora's garden party was a success! Cheers to you Nora and a celebration I will always remember!

P.S. Nora finally took the plunge and started her own blog. I am so incredibly excited for all things to come! Welcome!

The Perfect Package

This past spring, one of my besties, Nora, could not stop talking about her cravings for tasty, well made, macarons. Soo... when her graduation party rolled around I thought what better gift then fresh macarons. (I was very proud of myself for coming up with such a thoughtful idea for a present because gift giving has never been my strong suit.) After a long, hard search for "good" macarons, I finally found the perfect batch. To go along with it I bought the cutest book from Anthropologie entitled, "I Heart Macarons!" Wrapped up in brown paper and a silk ribbon, I must say, I had a hard time handing over this pretty little package!

Behind the Curtain

Kate Spade has an adorable little video showing what inspired their fall collection. By spinning the color wheel and adding a few blobs of paint and colored pencils, they have created an incredible sketch book! Check it out here!

Hello Monday

Hello Lovies! Hope you are all having a lovely Monday! Today I am trying to get my life in order, which is a large task, especially after a long and lazy weekend. I had a peachy time celebrating one of my besties birthdays. The one and only, Kaitlin Riley, came home to Indianapolis before she heads back to the Big Apple so I made a little trip to Indy in honor of her 24th! Although short-lived, it was wonderful to see her pretty little face! I apologize for no long post on Friday, but no worries, I have a long list of fabulous finds for you today! Enjoy!

Wow, it appears the Spade family has some dang good genes. Kate Spade's niece, Whitney Pozgay, has an absolutely magnificent clothing line called Whit. You must check out her stuff, it's aaadddooorrrabblleeee, as is she, I could just eat her up! Her clothes, her look, her logo, I love it all! Also, read this inspiring interview that is making me want to pull an all nighter and teach myself how to sew! Talented to say the least!

Saint Louie

Meet me in Saint Louie! This fun tote has been the perfect go-to/everyday bag this summer! I love everything about it! This clutch piece was a limited time offer; only 100 bags were made and sold at the Kate Spade store in Saint Louis. Being very selfless and knowing how quickly they would go, I purchased one for my mom as a Christmas gift. Then Easter rolled around and my mother (being the giving person she is) bought one for my sister and me, snatching the last two in the store. A silly little story, but I thought I would spend a moment bragging about how I am the lucky one!

Goodbye my Lover

Today my little sister, Liz, left for college. Once again I am left as an only child. I had the best summer with my little baby so I am sad to see her go. However, I am also completely jealous that she still has three more years left of college! I am making it a goal to go visit Liz down in Oxford as much as possible! I love you Chop and already miss you like crazy!

Lonny Strikes Again

(1)
(2)
(3)
(4)

I can't even tell you how much I look forward to the newest Lonny issues. This August/September issue, as well as all of the previous issues, is full of stunning rooms, people, and much decor! I think I could honestly flip back and forth all night long. There are so many eye-catching pieces and I often get nervous I am going to miss something (this is actually a real problem I need to take care of)! I could quite possibly post about every single page, but I would never do that to you, so I very carefully chose four of my favorites! Enjoy more here.

(1) Even though I find myself drinking less and less these days, I always love a good bar. What a solid piece that acts as a great display for cocktails as well as a storage space.

(2) I love the look of this hand embroidered bed throw. I have always been a sucker for the color red and anything light weight seems inviting, especially on these hot summer nights.

(3) I have always loved the idea of a calm, relaxing bath, and perhaps I would take them more often if I myself had a huge brass bathtub with a fun blown up photograph to stare at.

(4) Not only do I love the choice of paint in this room, but I adore the montage on the wall. What a great way to showcase an assortment of meaningful pieces.

Wanted:

A vintage Grand Wagoneer! Ever since I was a young girl I have dreamt about this totally rad car. I am head over heels in love with the oversized body, the wood panels, the chrome trim, and the touch of navy. Every time I see one of these incredible cars on the road I immediately picture myself driving it. I have carried my love for this car over to my day job. I believe this Grand Wagoneer is a must for Bloomin' Buckets. I can just imagine cruising around all day delivering fresh bouquets of flowers! Wow, I am such a dreamer!

I am in LOVE

I cannot believe I have not told you sooner; I am in LOVE! This past weekend at Lollapalooza I had the pleasure of seeing Mumford & Sons, an incredibly talented and extremely good looking, British band. My friend, Anna, who is a music fanatic told me I must start listening to them and after seeing them live I am kicking myself for not doing as she said. They were insane and I found myself smiling throughout their whole show. I believe my smiles had something to do with the smoking hot keyboardist, Ben (far right). Wow, he is quite the looker! Mumford & Sons, you have got yourselves a new fan!
