Take A Chance

Kristen, Megan, Cheree, and Nora setting up the instillation!
A work in progress!
Perfection!
"PICK A CARD. ANY CARD."
"Laugh out Loud!"
Bright and Cheery, just like Cheree!
Ta Da!!!!!

Cheree Berry, an absolutely amazing graphic designer (who I have been sooo lucky to work for) just put up the first instillation in the Kate Spade store in Frontenac Mall! The store will be displaying local artists' work every three months. Cheree's instillation, "Take A Chance," is filled with bright colored envelopes and inside each envelope reads a little message! Be sure to stop by and see this incredible arrangement of happiness!

organic and chic

Around Christmas time my mom found this chic little book on sale at Anthropologie. This book is simply and wonderfully inspiring, not only the recipes, but also the beautiful photographs! Sarah Magid shares delicious recipes for all organic sweets, including incredible cakes and cupcakes! I highly recommend indulging in this tasty book!

Bloomin' Buckets Strikes Again

For the second time now in one year, Bloomin' Buckets is featured in Martha Stewart Weddings! Zooey and David's wedding is spectacularly laid out in the new spring issue! My great friend Susan Jackson was the wonderful photographer. To see more grab the issue (it's worth it) or check out Martha Stewart Weddings.

(Please) Mind Your P's and Q's (Thank You)!

One Christmas, a very long time ago, my mom gave me and my two sisters each a Kate Spade book. I was given Manners! Of course back then I did not appreciate the gift, most likely thinking I already knew all there was to know about good manners! However, a few months ago the little book resurfaced and I have been hooked ever since. The book is full of quirky illustrations and a variety of helpful hints. From making a good first impression to tipping a cab driver, Manners is a guide to social do's and don'ts of modern life!

NAPKINS

"After being seated, wait until your host has joined the table and lifted his or her napkin, then place yours neatly on your lap."

"When excusing yourself from the table between courses, place your napkin on your seat or the arm of your chair. (And leave the table napkin-free.)"

"Before you leave the table, when you're done with the meal, simply rest your napkin to the left of the place setting. If the plates have already been cleared, then place it neatly on the table in front of you, but not as originally folded."

Food for Thought!

One of my most favorite magazines, "body + soul," leaves its readers with wonderful thoughts on the last page of every issue. I thought I would share these meaningful words with you to ponder...

10 THOUGHTS ON WHOLE LIVING

1. Take the guilt of pleasure. Sometimes the thing you want most is just what you need.

2. You can't force flexibility. It's about releasing and opening gradually.

3. Invest in experiences, not just objects.

4. Don't overthink: SOme happy moments are best left unanalyzed.

5. Real intimacy is expressed not with more words but with meaningful ones.

6. Try a little less housework and a little more sleep.

7. To find your strength, push past your comfort zone.

8. Rather than just beautifying your skin, nourish it.

9. Finding answers to your health issues won't come from feeding your fears.

10. Sometimes getting lost is the only way to figure out where you really are.

There is NO place like Home!

After a wonderful vacation in Naples, I get to come home to my wonderful sister, KC!
