I have spent countless nights dreaming of my "new room." This recurring dream has become a reality and I am beyond thrilled to turn my little cubby of a room into a humble abode. To me a room is somewhere one can go to get away, to relax and feel nothing but completely at ease. Above are some of my favorite inspirations. Chunky gold frames, family photos, pops of color, antlers hanging, hardwood floors, the color grey, and fresh flowers always!

How incredibly fun would it be to go on your honeymoon for six months?! Mr. and Mrs. Globe Trot are doing just that! Julia and Yuriy are wedding photographers and after they said their vows in September they fled the country and headed to Europe. They have been traveling around and will be over there for a few more months. I am extremely jealous, what a great idea! To travel abraod for six months with your new hubby/wifey must equal a happy ever after!

Dear Lingering Pre-Thanksgiving Feast Aroma,
Thanks for sticking around. I love nothing more than to be constantly reminded of Thanksgiving food. I would not mind if you stuck around forever. Come Thursday, your scent will grow stronger and my love will grow deeper!
Sweet Potato Pumpkin Pie
Dear Vanilla Lattes,
Why am I addicted to you? It doesn't seem to matter where you are from, without fail I will guzzle you down like it's my job. My cravings for you are endless, but they must stop. My wallet is empty and my teeth are changing colors.
Enough is Enough,
Dear Holiday Season,
I excitedly wait all year for you to come around, but I have to ask you one question. Why do you bring out the crazies? What is it about you that causes some(most) people to bitch and moan, to drive like idiots/clog the streets and parking lots, and to simply forget what you are all about? Enough with the stress cases, please make 'em stop.
Tis the Season,
I have never been one to obsess over jewelry; I'd rather spend money on shoes. I wear one ring, my timex watch, and sometimes (if I am feeling saucy) I'll throw on a pair of earrings. I would consider my taste in jewelry to be minimalist and that is why I fell madly in love with these rings from Sundance. I cannot think of anything else I would rather wear. How perfect would the top three be for wedding bands? And the bottom two? I know I have just been saying less is more, but wowzers! How could I say no?

I have a new crush and I am so thrilled to share all the details! Just recently on DesignLoveFest, I stumbled upon quite a babe! I would like to introduce you to Kelly; we haven't gotten to last names just yet. After studying fashion and working as a designer and stylist, Kelly decided to become self-employed and began designing jewelry, consulting clients as a personal stylist, and blogging. Kelly's chic style and her adorable bob have me head over heels. I think I'm starting to believe in love at first sight!

Some of you may wonder where I have been lately/why I have been a terrible blogger, but I have a legitimate excuse. I am just going to lay it on y'all who didn't already know, I packed my bags and moved north east to Indianapolis. A few months ago a great living opportunity came about that I could not pass up. It has all happened so fast, but I am here and very happy! I am living with two friends in an adorable house (and the boy lives just down the road)! I have been dreaming about decorating my room for far too long and I am having way too much fun with it (pictures to come)! Luckily, I do not start work until after Thanksgiving so I am leaving Indianapolis tomorrow and headed home. KC, her boyfriend, Jon, and Liz will all be coming home as well so we can celebrate an early Thanksgiving dinner since KC and Jon won't be able to stay for the actual holiday. I am beyond thrilled to spend a wonderful weekend cooking, eating my grandma's stuffing (to-die-for), and hanging with the family! Hope you all enjoy your weekend, along with these great posts!

I am feeling the need to express my undying love for The National. My love is growing stronger and stronger every day! After lots of wishin' and hopin', I had the wonderful pleasure of seeing the them this summer (thanks Anna)! Lucky for me, two months later this lovely band made a stop in the Lou. I often go back to that amazing night at the Pageant when Nora and I snuck our way down, getting as close as possible... was I dreaming? Oh no, that was real life! A huge thanks to the National for providing me with two of the most memorable performances, profound lyrics that sometimes cause me to become very emotional?, and your daily company. I love you!
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regrading the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.

Although I cannot seem to get enough of these cool, crisp autumn days, I have found myself continuously heading for the beach. Bobbi Brown's Beach is a magical fragrance full of summer's greatest scents. Even though I will be all layered up these next few months, blocking out any chill that comes my way, I will always make room for the Beach!

Seriously J.Crew can you please stop making my jaw hit the floor with all of your stunning pieces? I believe you have won the prize for most desired objects... now stop it. And can you also let me get through one season at a time? I am still yearning for half of your fall/winter collection and now you've got me onto spring/summer? I cannot keep up with your magnificent marvels.

Sorry for no long post on Friday, I was overnight babysitting and busy watching episode after episode of Gossip Girl. My how I had missed Chuck! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had to share the delicious bubbly my mom and I sipped throughout our date night, muddled blackberries and champagne, wowzas! Must drink again asap!

I can't seem to get my mind off this look. I am totally drawn to a chunky sweater, skinnies, topped with a fab pair of fryes. I would wear this outfit everyday, that is if I could first come up with some funds to purchase these goodies!
Nightfall cardigan by Madewell: $82.00
Downtown skinny jeans by J.Crew: $108.00
Melissa suede button boots by Frye: $318.00
I need a third job
I am saddened by the fact that I am just discovering this amazing blog. I feel like I have been missing out on some great behinds. Downtown From Behind is a photographic project capturing New Yorkers riding their bikes from behind on the city streets. The main objective is to focus in on a unique group of individuals who have had an impact on New York City. Another reason I love this project is because it supports a philanthropic measure supporting young designers and inventors who are aiming to create a greener environment. What an inspiring project! Check out all the beautiful behinds!
